Useful DAT guide to the DAT test taker
The questions “How much should I study for the DAT?” or “How should I study?” or “Should I self-study or take a test preparation course?” can have different answers depending on the person’s learning habits, situation, weaknesses, strengths and routines, but long story short you need to study several hours most of the days of the week to be successful.
We suggest that you get to know the exact address, time of appointment and the time it takes to get to your designated Prometric testing center from your place before the day of the exam. You will need to provide one or two forms of government-issued photo ID to the testing center.
The dental schools usually start interviewing applicants in September and continue throughout the fall. Around half of the dental schools also continue interviewing until the end of spring. Most dental schools require applicants to attend only one interview on their campus. You should prepare to answer some questions on the interview.
